BEHIND THE BUTTER
Founded in 2023, Lonely Sunday Tattoo Care was born from a simple idea: tattoo care should be fun, effective, and stress free. Founders Max and Jodie have spent over 300 hours in the chair getting tattooed, from black and grey to full colour pieces, giving them first hand experience of what good tattoo care should feel like.
Through their own experiences, along with insights from multi award winning tattoo artists, they noticed that much of the tattoo care space relied on generic advice and products that were not designed specifically for tattooed skin. They set out to change that.
After hours of testing and refining formulas with input from award winning tattoo artists, they created a tattoo butter designed to care for tattooed skin from day one and support the long term appearance of tattoos, while making the routine something people actually enjoy.
MEET MAX
Max is covered in tattoos from head to toe, each one a story and a lesson in tattoo care. With over 250 hours in the chair and insights from top tattoo artists, he co created Lonely Sunday’s natural tattoo care products to make caring for tattoos simple, effective, and enjoyable.
MEET JODIE
Jodie’s journey with tattoos began at a young age, driven by her love for art and design. She has spent over 50 hours in the chair and has been tattooed by a range of artists, giving her hands on experience caring for both colour and black and grey tattoos.
With that experience, she helps bring Lonely Sunday’s natural tattoo care products to life, creating products that feel great to use and make everyday tattoo care fun.
